Baby Moon Restaurant was founded in 1970, by Pietro (Peter) and Salvatrice Gambino. They traveled to the US from Sicily to escape a difficult economy and to fulfill their dream of building a life for their growing family.
Peter and Salvatrice were able to convert a small post office building into a quaint pizzeria and with their hard work transformed it into the thriving business it is today,the one and only original location in Westhampton Beach. Peter loved to accommodate his customers and was always gracious and cared very much for the contentment of his customers, along with Salvatrice who was working by his side in the initial years and contributed to the foundation of the business. Salvatrice is now retired and has left the management of the business to her three daughters: Maria, Paula and Jackie.
Peter passed on in 2013, but left an indelible mark, and his daughters are now committed to restoring the restaurant to its initial glory.
